OUR
KAUPAPA
Rapture Pole Competition aims to recognise and celebrate the sexy style of pole dance for Aotearoa. We are extremely passionate about honouring the roots of pole dancing through its Strip Club origins, integrating regular consultation with multiple Strippers throughout Rapture's development. We are dedicated to ensuring fair representation of our community by challenging its definition of Elite-level skill and spotlighting the elements of pole dancing that exemplify these roots. We want to provide the opportunity for avid practitioners in the elements of musicality, sex appeal, performance and fluidity to compete in a safe, standardised, inclusive environment with criteria that objectively assesses these skills and capabilities at Semi Pro and Pro level.
